- Asia’s First Female Train Driver to Retire: Surekha Yadav, Asia’s first female train driver, will retire on 30 September 2025. She started her career with Pune-Mumbai Deccan Queen and has driven goods trains, local trains, long-distance trains, Rajdhani, and Vande Bharat trains. She served Indian Railways for 36 years.
- India-Greece Naval Exercise: The Indian Navy and Hellenic Navy of Greece conducted their first bilateral maritime exercise in the Mediterranean Sea. It was held in two phases — a harbor phase at Salamis Naval Base and a sea phase.
- Smriti Mandhana’s Record Century: Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana scored a century in just 50 balls against Australia in Delhi. It is the second-fastest century in women’s ODI history. Meg Lanning holds the record with a 45-ball century.
- India’s Largest Nuclear Power Plant:
- Foundation stone of India’s largest nuclear power center to be laid on 25 September in Banswara, Rajasthan–Madhya Pradesh border.

- India to build 18 new nuclear reactors across various states including Kudankulam (TN), Kaiga (Karnataka), Rawatbhata & Banswara (Rajasthan), Gorakhpur (UP), Chutka (MP).
- China Launches New K Visa: China has introduced a new "K Visa," comparable to the US H-1B visa. Effective from 1 October 2025, it targets young professionals in science, engineering, research, and technology fields. Eligible candidates with STEM degrees (bachelor’s or higher) can study, work, and participate in scientific, cultural, and commercial activities in China with multiple-entry privileges and long-term stay options.
