Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 Application Details

The Ministry of External Affairs officially announced the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 on April 26. The journey will be organized between June to August 2025. Known for its religious and cultural significance, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is important to Hindus as the abode of Lord Shiva, and holds religious value for Jains and Buddhists as well. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, applications are being accepted on the website kmy.gov.in.

Since 2015, the process, from online applications to the selection of travelers, has been fully computerized. This year, there will be 5 batches (50 travelers per batch) crossing the Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and 10 batches (50 travelers per batch) crossing the Nathu La Pass in Sikkim. Travelers will be selected through a fair process, and will be allocated various routes and batches. Once assigned a route and batch, changes will generally not be allowed. However, if needed, selected travelers may request a change of batch, subject to availability. In such cases, the decision of the Ministry will be final.

Amarnath Yatra 2025

Before this, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, assured that despite the recent terrorist attack at Pahalgam, the Amarnath Yatra, starting from July 3, will continue smoothly. He expressed confidence that tourism in Kashmir would soon recover. He emphasized that no one can divert Kashmir from its path of development.
