Justice Pawan Kumar Dwivedi Assigned to Indore Bench of MP High Court

The Gwalior Bar's representation in the Madhya Pradesh High Court has increased. Previously, Justices Vishal Mishra, D.D. Bansal, and Vivek Jain from Gwalior Bar were serving in the MP High Court. Now, Justice Deepak Khot and Justice Pawan Kumar Dwivedi have also joined the list.

On May 30, during a ceremony held at the Principal Seat in Jabalpur, both Justice Deepak Khot and Justice Pawan Kumar Dwivedi took oath as judges of the MP High Court. Justice Deepak Khot has been assigned to Jabalpur, while Justice Pawan Kumar Dwivedi will serve at the Indore Bench.

With this addition, the number of High Court judges from Gwalior has increased from 3 to 5. This is the first time in history that five judges in the MP High Court have come from Gwalior. The highest number ever has been 7 judges from Gwalior practicing at the High Court level.

Currently, there are 5 judges from Indore, 5 from Gwalior, and 10 from Jabalpur serving in the MP High Court. Out of the 53 sanctioned posts, 18 are still vacant.
