America's semiconductor chip maker Nvidia has overtaken Apple to become the world's second most valuable company. With the rise in the stock, Nvidia's market capitalization has jumped to $3.011 trillion (about Rs 251 lakh crore). At the same time, Apple's market cap is $3 trillion (about Rs 250 lakh crore).
There is only a difference of $3.15 trillion in the market capitalization of semiconductor chip maker Nvidia Corp and the world's most valuable company Microsoft. The world's most valuable company Microsoft is number one with a market cap of $3.151 trillion, while Nvidia Corp is second with a market cap of $3.011 trillion. Apple is in third place with a market cap of $3.003 trillion, Alphabet (Google) is in fourth place with a market cap of $2.179 trillion, while Amazon is in fifth place with a market cap of $1.886 trillion.
It is worth mentioning that Nvidia is already the world's most valuable semiconductor chip making firm. It has 4 engineering development centers in India. These centers are located in Hyderabad, Pune, Gurugram and Bengaluru. Shares of American chip making company Nvidia Corp closed at $1,224.40 (about Rs 1,86,958) on Wednesday, June 5, with a gain of $60.03 or 5.16 percent. Apple's stock closed at $195.87 with a gain of 0.78 percent.
