China said that its unmanned spacecraft has successfully landed on the Moon's South Pole-Aitken Basin (the part of the moon that is not visible from Earth). So far no other country has tried to send its spacecraft to this unknown place. According to the China National Space Administration (CNSA), the 'Chang'e-6' spacecraft landed on the Moon's South Pole-Aitken Basin at 6:23 am on Sunday morning Chinese time. The mission launched on May 3 aims to collect rare rocks and soil from this area. This mission will work to extract material from some of the oldest rocks from a huge crater located on the Moon's South Pole.
