Jhabua Collector Neha Meena Awarded Best Electoral Practices Award

Collector Neha Meena has been selected by the Election Commission of India for the Best Electoral Practices Award. She will receive this award in the General Category. She is the only officer from the state to be chosen for this honor. The award will be presented on January 25, National Voters Day.

Only nine collectors and two SPs from across the country have been chosen for this award in the General Category. The Election Commission has recognized contributions in areas such as IT initiatives in elections, security management, election management, accessible elections, voter lists, voter awareness, and outreach programs. Awards will be given in General, Special, and State categories for each of these areas.

Neha Meena has introduced several innovations in voter awareness campaigns in the district. All 981 polling stations were made ideal, and traditional Pithora mandnas were created to attract voters. The district also launched the e-Sarthi app to assist voters with information about polling stations, routes, BLOs, and sector officers. The app works with GPS in case of no internet access.

Voter awareness activities were held in every village and locality, including competitions like mehendi, torch rallies, tractor rallies, and vehicle rallies. SWEEP activities were also incorporated into many social events. The "Chalen Booth Ki Aur" campaign was launched, and several excellence awards were organized. Songs and invitation letters were created in Bhili language to reach out to the local community.
