IPS officer B. Srinivasan has been appointed as the Director General of National Security Guard (NSG). His appointment will last till 31 August 2027. The post of NSG Director General was vacant since former NSG Director General Nalin Prabhat was made Special Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Srinivasan is a 1992 batch IPS officer of Bihar cadre and the government has issued an official order regarding his appointment. Earlier, Srinivasan has worked as the Director of Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir.
