IPL to Resume on May 17, Final Scheduled for June 3
The Indian Premier League (IPL) will resume on May 17 after being temporarily suspended due to the conflict between India and Pakistan. A total of 17 matches remain in the tournament.
As per the new schedule announced by the BCCI late on May 12, the remaining matches will be played across six designated venues. The final match of the season is set for June 3.
There will be a double-header (two matches in one day) on May 11. Qualifier 1 is scheduled for May 29, the Eliminator will be played on May 30, and Qualifier 2 is set for June 1.
The BCCI stated that it salutes the courage and dedication of the nation's armed forces amid the current national security situation.
Jaipur to Host Three Matches
Jaipur will host three of the remaining matches:
- May 18 – Rajasthan vs Punjab
- May 24 – Delhi vs Punjab
- May 26 – Mumbai vs Punjab
The league is set to continue under tight security and in coordination with national security and government agencies.
