स्वदेश में निर्मित स्टील्थ गाइडेड मिसाइल विध्वंसक आईएनएस इंफाल 26 दिसंबर को मुंबई के नौसेना डाकयार्ड में रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह की मौजूदगी में आयोजित समारोह में नौसेना के बेड़े में शामिल किया जा रहा है। ब्रह्मोस मिसाइलों से लैस है आईएनएस इंफाल पश्चिमी नौसेना कमांड के अधीन शामिल किया जा रहा आईएनएस इंफाल सतह से सतह पर मार करने वाली ब्रह्मोस मिसाइलों से लैस है। हिंद महासागर में चीन की बढ़ती घुसपैठ के बीच आईएनएस इंफाल भारतीय नौसेना की समुद्री क्षमता को बढ़ाएगा।

नौसेना के अधिकारी ने बताया कि मुंबई की मझगांव डाक लिमिटेड द्वारा निर्मित आईएनएस इंफाल को व्यापक परीक्षण के बाद गत 20 अक्टूबर को नौसेना को सौंपा गया था। यह जहाज परमाणु, जैविक और रासायनिक (एनबीसी) युद्ध स्थितियों के तहत लड़ने के लिए सुसज्जित है। गुप्त विशेषताएं इसकी युद्ध क्षमता को बढ़ाती है।

Indigenously built stealth guided missile destroyer INS Imphal is being inducted into the naval fleet on December 26 in a ceremony held at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. INS Imphal is equipped with BrahMos missiles. INS Imphal, being commissioned under the Western Naval Command, is equipped with BrahMos surface-to-surface missiles. INS Imphal will enhance the maritime capability of the Indian Navy amid China's increasing intrusion in the Indian Ocean. The Navy official said that INS Imphal, built by Mumbai's Mazagon Postal Limited, was handed over to the Navy on October 20 after extensive trials. The ship is equipped to fight under nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) warfare conditions. Stealth features enhance its combat capability.
