India's Hajj 2026 Quota Fixed at 1.75 Lakh Pilgrims

On November 9, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju held a bilateral meeting with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah. During the meeting, both sides signed a bilateral Hajj agreement in Jeddah for Hajj 2026, confirming India’s quota at 1,75,025 pilgrims.

Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju signed the agreement in Jeddah, under which India's quota for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage was officially fixed at 1,75,025. The signing marks a continuation of strong cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia in managing Hajj arrangements for Indian pilgrims.

During his official visit to Saudi Arabia from November 7 to 9, Kiren Rijiju met with Minister Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah in a bilateral session to review the ongoing Hajj preparations. According to an official statement, both ministers discussed enhancing coordination and logistical support and reaffirmed their shared commitment to streamlining the Hajj process for Indian pilgrims.

The meeting also focused on improving facilities, transportation, accommodation, and healthcare services to ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage experience for all travelers from India. Both sides emphasized the importance of efficient management and modern technology to enhance the overall Hajj experience in 2026.
