India's First Private CPR Training Center Opens in Jaipur, Offers Free Life-Saving Training
Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, has achieved a major milestone by opening India’s first private and completely free CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) training center. Located in the C-Scheme area, the center aims to educate the public on administering CPR during heart attacks, road accidents, or any emergency situations — potentially saving lives during the crucial golden hour.
The center was inaugurated by Dr. Jagdish Modi, President of the Jaipur Medical Association. The founder, Dr. V.K. Jain, explained that the initiative focuses on spreading awareness and empowering every citizen to provide immediate first aid. According to experts, thousands of lives are lost annually in India because timely CPR is not administered at the scene of the incident.
The first 3 minutes after a cardiac arrest or trauma are known as the "golden hour," and immediate intervention is often life-saving. Dr. Jain emphasized, “If CPR is given within the first minute using the correct technique, the chances of survival increase by up to 70%.”
He further added, “In our training, participants will learn to perform 100 to 120 chest compressions per minute along with rescue breaths, enabling them to save lives effectively.”
