India's First Hindi Medium Medical College to Open in Jabalpur (2027)

The Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University has taken a historic step to offer medical education in the mother tongue, Hindi. The country’s first Hindi-medium medical college will be established in Jabalpur, with the academic session beginning in 2027–28.

This college will offer all academic studies and practical training entirely in Hindi. It will begin with 50 MBBS seats and will be developed as a College of Excellence.

The proposal was passed during the meeting of the university's Executive Council chaired by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ashok Khandelwal.

The college will be affiliated with the hospital of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur and will be developed as per the standards of the National Medical Commission (NMC). It will be a fully residential campus.
