Akash Air Defense System Shows Exceptional Performance

Under Operation Sindoor, India destroyed nine terrorist structures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). The Indian Air Force's indigenous Akash Air Defense System successfully thwarted Pakistani attacks.

The region of Jammu and Kashmir remained peaceful last night. On May 10, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, and a DGMO-level meeting is scheduled for today. Both the Indian Army and Air Force are fully prepared for any mission.

Air Marshal A.K. Bharti stated that all Indian military bases and systems are functioning perfectly. On May 5, he emphasized India's readiness for any mission and praised the Akash system for its role in preventing Pakistani strikes on Indian installations.

Akash System Proves Its Mettle

During heightened tensions with Pakistan, the performance of indigenous defense weapons like the Akash Air Defense System was remarkable. The Integrated Air Command and Control System effectively neutralized Pakistani military offensives.

"Our fight was against terrorist structures and militants. However, the Pakistani military chose to escalate the situation by supporting terrorists," Air Marshal Bharti remarked.

The Indian Army reported that the previous night was one of the most peaceful in recent days across Jammu & Kashmir and bordering areas. No untoward incidents were reported.

Operation Sindoor: India's Swift Response

In response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India launched Operation Sindoor on the morning of May 7, targeting and destroying nine terrorist structures in Pakistan and POK. All retaliatory actions followed this operation.

On May 10, India and Pakistan declared a ceasefire agreement effective from 5 PM that day, halting all land, air, and naval hostilities.
