Indian daughters champions for the second time in a row

The Indian women's hockey team defeated China and captured the Asian Trophy. In the final, India defeated China 1-0. Deepika scored the only goal from India's side. The Indian team won the title for the third time overall. The host team remained undefeated in the tournament and won the glittering trophy. The Bihar government decided to give a prize of Rs 10 lakh to each player of the women's hockey team. The Chinese team won the silver medal in the Paris Olympics. Indian girls showed excellent game throughout the tournament. A statement issued by the Bihar government said, 'Each player of the team will get Rs 10 lakh for their excellent performance at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium during the tournament.' Chief coach Harendra Singh and his support staff will also be awarded by the government of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Apart from this, head coach Harendra Singh was given a prize of Rs 10 lakh while the rest of the support staff will get Rs 5 lakh each.
