It was India's highest-ever team score in an ODI, surpassing previous records, and the third-largest opening partnership in Women's ODI history with 233 runs between Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal. Smriti Mandhana set a record for the fastest hundred by an Indian woman in ODIs, reaching her century in just 70 balls. She finished with 135 runs off 80 balls, including 12 fours and 7 sixes. This was her 10th ODI century. Meanwhile, Pratika Rawal scored her first ODI century, making 154 runs off 129 balls, which is the third-highest score by an Indian woman in ODI cricket.

Richa Ghosh's quick-fire 59 runs helped India become the third team in Women's ODI history to cross 400 runs, following New Zealand and Australia. India’s total of 435/5 is now the highest ever in Women’s ODI cricket. In response, Ireland never looked like challenging the target, despite a 64-run third-wicket partnership between Sarah Forbes (41) and Orla Prendergast (36). However, once this partnership was broken, Ireland lost their final seven wickets for just 31 runs. India’s bowlers, led by Deepti Sharma (3-27) and Tanuja Kanwar (2-31), ensured a dominant win. Titas Sadhu, Sayali Satghare, and Minnu Mani also took one wicket each.

This remarkable performance marks a great sign for India as they prepare for the upcoming Women’s ODI World Cup later this year on home soil.
