With this victory, the Indian team secured a spot in the 2026 Hockey World Cup. This marks India's fourth Asia Cup title in men's hockey. The final took place on September 7, where India overcame five-time champions Korea in a dominant performance.

This win also ended an 8-year title drought for the Indian men’s team. Their last Asia Cup title came in 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, when India defeated Malaysia in the final.
