India to Add 8,000 Medical Seats in 2025 Academic Session
There is good news for students preparing for medical admissions. From the 2025 academic session, India is expected to increase the number of seats in medical courses by 8,000.
In preparation for this, medical colleges are currently being evaluated. NEET-UG counseling has already begun, and the first round is completed. The second round of counseling is expected to start by August 25.
Earlier, there were concerns about a possible reduction in medical seats this year after the CBI uncovered a network in July involving officials from the Union Health Ministry, NMC, middlemen, and private medical college representatives. However, the number of seats is now projected to increase instead.
