India Successfully Tests Prithvi-2 and Agni-1 Ballistic Missiles
On July 17, India successfully conducted the test-firing of two indigenous short-range ballistic missiles — Prithvi-2 and Agni-1. Both missiles were launched from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) located off the Odisha coast, according to defense sources.
Defense officials confirmed that both launches met all operational and technical parameters. These tests were conducted under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC).
Details of the Missile Launches
The Agni-1 missile was first tested from Abdul Kalam Island, followed shortly by the launch of the Prithvi-2 missile from Launch Pad-3 at the Chandipur-based ITR.
