India-Pakistan Conflict: Military Standoff and Cross-Border Attacks
On May 9, Pakistani Army spokesperson Ahmed Chaudhry claimed that Pakistan intercepted most of India's missile attacks, although some managed to bypass the air defense systems.
Pakistan alleged that it conducted major strikes on ten Indian locations, including BrahMos missile storage in Punjab, Uri supply depot, Suratgarh airfield in Rajasthan, S-400 systems in Adampur, artillery positions in Dehrangyari, and the Pathankot airfield.
Previously, Pakistan accused India of attacking its Shorkot Rafiqui Airbase, Mureed Airbase in Chakwal, and Chaklala Cantonment in Rawalpindi—just 10 km from the home of Army Chief Munir.
Despite Pakistan's claims, Ahmed Chaudhry admitted that some Indian missiles were not intercepted, though the majority were countered by their air defense system.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that India attempted to block the $2 billion IMF fund allocated to Pakistan but failed.
On May 10, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on television that if India halts its operations, Pakistan will reciprocate. He emphasized Pakistan’s preference for peace.
