कैबिनेट ने सेमीकंडक्टर के मैन्युफैक्चरिंग के 3 प्रोजेक्ट के लिए फाइनेंसियल सपोर्ट करने का फैसला लिया है. तीन सेमीकंडक्टर इकाइयों में कुल निवेश 1.26 लाख करोड़ रुपये होने का अनुमान है. सेमीकंडक्टर फैब में हर महीने 50 हजार वैफर बनेंगे. एक वैफर के अंदर पांच हजार चिप होती हैं. यानी इन प्लांट्स से साल में करीब 300 करोड़ चिप बनेगी. ये पीएम मोदी के ‘आत्मनिर्भर भारत’ के संकल्प से संबंधित एक बड़ा निर्णय है. उन्होंने बताया, ‘तीनों इकाइयों का निर्माण अगले 100 दिनों के भीतर शुरू हो जाएगा. पूर्वोत्तर को अपनी पहली सेमीकंडक्टर इकाई असम में मिलेगी. यहां से प्रति दिन 48 मिलियन चिप्स का निर्माण किया जाएगा. एफएबी में निवेश 91,000 करोड़ होगा. असम इकाई में निवेश 27,000 करोड़ होगा. साणंद इकाई में 7,600 करोड़ रुपये लगेंगे।’
The Cabinet has decided to provide financial support for 3 semiconductor manufacturing projects. The total investment in the three semiconductor units is estimated to be Rs 1.26 lakh crore. 50 thousand wafers will be made every month in the semiconductor fab. There are five thousand chips inside one wafer. That means, about 300 crore chips will be made in a year from these plants. This is a big decision related to PM Modi's resolve of 'self-reliant India'.
He said, 'Construction of all three units will start within the next 100 days. Northeast will get its first semiconductor unit in Assam. From here 48 million chips will be manufactured per day. Investment in FAB will be Rs 91,000 crore. Investment in Assam unit will be Rs 27,000 crore. Sanand unit will cost Rs 7,600 crore.
