Imran Khan is Alive and Healthy but Facing Mental Harassment in Prison
Qasim Khan Demands Proof of Imran Khan's Wellbeing
On Thursday, Qasim Khan, the son of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, demanded proof that his father is still alive. Qasim stated that no one knows whether Imran is alive or not. He mentioned on X that his father was arrested 845 days ago and has been kept alone in a 'death cell' for the past six weeks. During this time, no one has been allowed to meet him, and he hasn't been given the chance to make phone calls or send messages.
Government Hiding the Truth
Qasim also stated that his aunts have been denied permission to meet their brother, and this is not due to any security reasons, but a deliberate attempt to hide the truth about Imran's condition. He believes that the government is hiding the true state of his father.
Noreen Niazi Criticizes Current Situation in Pakistan
Imran Khan's sister, Noreen Niazi, expressed serious concerns about the situation in Pakistan. She described the rule of Army Chief Asim Munir as worse than that of Adolf Hitler's regime. Noreen shared a poster on X calling for Imran Khan’s release, stating that he has been in illegal detention for 845 days.
Threat to Asim Munir’s Family if Imran Khan is Harmed
Noreen Niazi also warned that if anything happens to her brother, Imran Khan, the family of Pakistan’s Army Chief, Asim Munir, will never be safe. She stated that her brother has been denied basic rights in Pakistan. She added that if Imran Khan speaks out, his party workers will break down the prison doors to rescue him.
Pakistan’s Political Crisis and Weak Judiciary
Noreen referred to the current situation in Pakistan as the darkest period in the country's history. She accused the judiciary of becoming weak, allowing the military to act with impunity. Earlier, Noreen had also referred to Asim Munir as a dictator.
