IAS Santosh Verma Issued Show Cause Notice for Controversial Comments
Madhya Pradesh IAS officer Santosh Verma has been issued a show cause notice for making inappropriate comments about Brahmin daughters. His remarks have sparked outrage across the state, and several organizations have demanded that an FIR be filed against him.
Following instructions from the Chief Minister, the department issued a notice asking him to respond within seven days. Verma made the remarks on November 23 during the provincial convention of AJAX, stating that reservations would end if Brahmins donated their daughters. This indecent and improper comment has caused widespread anger in the state. Various organizations submitted applications to local police stations to register an FIR against him.
The Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, directed authorities to take action according to regulations. Consequently, on the night of November 26, Verma was formally issued a show cause notice.
