Helicopter Services and Homestays Launched in Madhya Pradesh
On June 18, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Mohan Yadav virtually inaugurated 241 homestays across 37 districts of the state. The event was held at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal under the theme "Rural Colors - Tourism and Festivals." The Chief Minister emphasized that rural tourism is a powerful tool for self-reliance and cultural pride.
Focus on Rural Tourism
CM Yadav highlighted that tourism at the village level provides employment opportunities for youth, promotes festivals, food, and traditions, and introduces national and global visitors to India’s rich cultural heritage. He stated, "Homestays are a symbol of the Indian tradition of 'Atithi Devo Bhava' and provide tourists with a positive and authentic experience of local life."
Promotion of Helicopter Services
In addition to homestays, CM Yadav also promoted helicopter services as part of the state's efforts to enhance tourism accessibility and convenience for both domestic and international visitors. The launch of these services will further boost tourism in the region.
Recognition of District Collectors
During the event, CM Yadav also honored district collectors from 10 districts for their outstanding contributions to the promotion of tourism in their regions.
