The dates for the Haridwar Ardh Kumbh 2027 have been officially announced. This time, a total of ten holy baths will take place, including four Amrit Snans—being held for the first time. The Ardh Kumbh will begin on Makar Sankranti 2027 and will conclude on 20 April 2027. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made this announcement during a meeting with representatives of various Akhadas.
Announcement Made in Presence of All 13 Akhadas
The decision regarding the Ardh Kumbh dates was taken during a meeting attended by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and representatives of all 13 Akhadas. A total of ten holy baths will be observed in 2027, including four Amrit Snans. The first Amrit Snan will be held on 6 March and the final one on 20 April.
The three-month-long Ardh Kumbh will begin on 14 January 2027 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. On 28 November, during the meeting held at Damkothi, the Chief Minister and Akhada representatives finalized the schedule.
Differences Resolved Among Akhadas
The Akhadas had long-standing disagreements regarding the Ardh Kumbh arrangements. However, during the 28 November meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, all disputes were resolved. Detailed discussions on the organization of the event were held.
The Chief Minister sought suggestions from the saints and assured them that preparations for the Ardh Kumbh would follow their traditions and requirements. He emphasized that saint traditions and conveniences would receive utmost priority.
He added that the blessings and guidance of the saints are essential for the grand and well-organized execution of the Ardh Kumbh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisioned Devbhoomi as the spiritual capital of the world, and the state government is working toward that objective.
All Akhadas United for Ardh Kumbh 2027
With the resolution of mutual differences, all Akhadas are now united with the government. Preparations for the Kumbh will proceed in a grand manner, and the holy Amrit Snans will take place on the scheduled dates. Like the full Kumbh, religious flags will be hoisted in Haridwar, and the Akhadas will set up their camps. The Ardh Kumbh will now be organized in the grandeur of a Mahakumbh.
