नगर निगम को स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2023 में बड़ी सफलता प्राप्त हुई है। 5 जनवरी को मिली जानकारी के अनुसार केंद्रीय शहरी विकास मंत्रालय ने ग्वालियर को वाटर प्लस का खिताब दिया है।

इस सर्वेक्षण में निगम ने इस सबसे बड़े खिताब के लिए दावेदारी की थी और इस बार सफलता प्राप्त हो गई। ग्वालियर को मिले वाटर प्लस से आगामी स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण में काफी फायदा मिलेगा। यह खिताब मिलने के बाद नगर निगम को सीधे तौर पर पांच करोड़ रुपये का अनुदान प्राप्त होगा तो वहीं भविष्य में केंद्र के 15वें वित्त आयोग और नमामि गंगे मिशन से अनुदान मिलने में आसानी रहेगी।

वाटर प्लस का खिताब उन शहरों को दिया जाता है, जिन्होंने ओडीएफ डबल प्लस के सभी मानकों को पूरा कर लिया है, इसके अलावा शहर में कहीं भी रंगीन यानी सीवर का गंदा पानी नजर नहीं आना चाहिए। सीवर के पानी का ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट में शोधन होना जरूरी है, इसके अलावा शहर के सार्वजनिक और सामुदायिक शौचालयों में साफ-सफाई के अलावा अन्य सुविधाएं भी मिलनी चाहिए जो इन मानकों पर खरा उतरता है, उसे वाटर प्लस सिटी का खिताब दिया जाता है।

In this survey, the corporation had claimed for the biggest title and this time it was successful. Gwalior will benefit greatly from the Water Plus in the upcoming Swachh Survekshan. The title of Water Plus is given to those cities which have fulfilled all the standards of ODF Double Plus, apart from this, colored i.e. dirty sewer water should not be visible anywhere in the city. It is necessary for the sewer water to be treated in the treatment plant, apart from this, other facilities should also be provided in the public and community toilets of the city, apart from cleanliness, the city which meets these standards is given the title of Water Plus City.
