- Grand Egyptian Museum Opened: The world’s largest museum, the Grand Egyptian Museum, located near the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, was opened to the public. For the first time, King Tutankhamun’s tomb was fully exhibited. Tutankhamun became king at the age of 9 and died at 18–19.
- Jannik Sinner Wins Paris Masters: Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner won the Paris Masters title and reclaimed the ATP World No.1 ranking. He defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final, surpassing Carlos Alcaraz to secure the top spot.
- Kiran Desai Shortlisted for Booker Prize 2025: Indian author Kiran Desai’s new novel, “The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny”, has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize 2025. She previously won the Booker Prize in 2006 for “The Inheritance of Loss.”
- Gogabeel Lake Declared a Ramsar Site: Gogabeel Lake in Bihar has been declared a Ramsar Site, making it part of the list of Wetlands of International Importance. The lake is an oxbow lake, formed naturally by the meandering of rivers.
