- Boost to Atmanirbhar Bharat in Defense Production: The central government will set up two new Defense Industrial Corridors in Maharashtra and Assam. Earlier, three corridors were launched in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in 2018.
- SHRESTH Index Launched: The Ministry of Health launched the SHRESTH (State Health Regulatory Excellence Index) to evaluate the pharmaceutical ecosystem in states and ensure the quality of medicines.
- Semiconductor Boost in India: The Centre has approved ₹4,600 crore for setting up four new semiconductor plants in Odisha, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh. These projects are part of the India Semiconductor Mission. So far, 10 projects across six states have received approval.
- UPSC Centenary Year: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will celebrate its 100th anniversary from 1 October 2025 to 1 October 2026. Special events, a new logo, and reforms to improve transparency and fairness will be introduced.
- Indian Ports Bill 2025 Passed: The Lok Sabha passed the Indian Ports Bill 2025, replacing the outdated 1908 law. This aims to modernize port management, boost trade efficiency, and enhance cooperation with states.
- Australia to Recognize Palestine: Australia will officially recognize Palestine at the UN in September 2025. The move is intended to support a ceasefire in Gaza, release of hostages, and promote a two-state solution with broader international backing.
