First IGBC NEST Plus Certified Prime Minister Housing in Madhya Pradesh

On January 14, a Prime Minister housing unit in Madhya Pradesh achieved the historic milestone of being the first in the country to receive the IGBC NEST Plus certification. This distinction was earned by the housing unit of beneficiary Shri Pranchand in the Patleshwar Gram Panchayat of the Aron area, Guna district, Madhya Pradesh.

This certification represents a significant step toward sustainable, environmentally-friendly, and energy-efficient housing in rural areas. The Prime Minister housing unit incorporates green building standards effectively, including energy conservation, water efficiency, improved indoor environmental quality, and judicious use of resources.

Guna Collector Shri Kishore Kumar Kanyal stated that the District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Shri Abhishek Dubey and other officials have been performing well at various levels. Innovations are also being implemented to enhance development work in the district. He emphasized that this achievement is not only a matter of pride for Patleshwar Gram Panchayat and Aron town but also for the entire state of Madhya Pradesh. This milestone will play a key role in making new homes built under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme more sustainable, environmentally friendly, and future-ready.
