Elon Musk's Starlink Satellite Broadband Demo in Mumbai

Elon Musk's company Starlink is set to launch its internet services in India soon. The company will conduct a demo in Mumbai on 30th and 31st October, monitored by government agencies. Starlink aims to provide internet to remote areas, enabling services like telemedicine. Installation costs are estimated around INR 30,000, and monthly plans may start from INR 3,000.

According to PTI, the demo will use provisional spectrum temporarily allotted to Starlink. Government regulatory agencies will oversee the demo. This demonstration is a significant step for Starlink to start its services in India.

During the demo, government agencies such as police and cyber security will closely examine data encryption, user tracking, and other security checks. Connection stability, internet speed, latency, and overall connectivity will also be tested.
