Elon Musk Becomes World's Richest Person with $850 Billion Net Worth

Elon Musk, the world's wealthiest individual, has surpassed a net worth of $850 billion (around ₹77 lakh crore). In a single day, his net worth increased by $84 billion (₹7 lakh crore), according to Forbes.

This historic rise makes Musk the richest person in history. The surge in his wealth is attributed to the merger of his rocket company SpaceX and AI startup xAI. In just four months, Musk's net worth has grown by 70%, reaching $500 billion in October 2025.

The combined company, valued at $1.25 trillion (₹104 lakh crore), resulted in Musk's wealth increasing by $84 billion. Before the merger, Musk owned 42% of SpaceX worth $336 billion and 49% of xAI worth $122 billion. Post-merger, his stake in the new entity is 43%, valued at $542 billion.

Musk's wealth gap with the second richest person, Google co-founder Larry Page ($281 billion), has now widened to $578 billion. At this pace, Musk is on track to become the world's first trillionaire.
