Dr. Rishi Raj Becomes First Indian to Visit All Seven Continents and All States
Indian author and traveler Dr. Rishi Raj has achieved a historic milestone. On 17 November 2025, by reaching Antarctica, he became the first Indian to have visited all 36 states and union territories of India and all seven continents of the world.
Dr. Rishi Raj currently serves as Deputy General Manager (Operations) at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. His journey began in 1994 when he started working with Indian Railways. Initially, he traveled across most states of India. In 2008, he completed visits to all Jyotirlingas and the Char Dham, and in 2012, he undertook the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, marking the beginning of his global travel chapter. Over 31 years of continuous travel has led him to this historic achievement today.
Dr. Rishi Raj is not only a traveler but also a versatile author and cultural promoter. He has written more than 28 books, including children’s stories based on history and patriotism. Additionally, through his YouTube channel Exploring India with Rishi, he has showcased India’s cultural and patriotic heritage to the world via over 600 short films.
