Dr. Mohan Yadav Addresses International Ramayan Conference in Jabalpur

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that the life of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna provides easy answers to many complex questions. Through Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, India has made its name known worldwide. Spreading light where there is darkness is the essence of Sanatan culture. Following this philosophy, Lord Ram worked to end injustice and tyranny thousands of years ago. While the Indian Sanatan culture mentions 33 crore gods and goddesses, it is through Lord Ram and Lord Krishna that India became recognized globally. Due to this historical foundation, India has continued to be known as the "Vishwaguru" (World Teacher).

Dr. Yadav made these remarks on Friday while addressing the International Ramayan Conference in Jabalpur. He also spoke about the role of Maharishi Vishwamitra in taking Lord Ram and Lakshman to end the demons disturbing the saints' yajnas, and Lord Ram's wisdom and valor in winning the Swayamvar in King Janak's court. He emphasized how Lord Ram conveyed messages of friendship and love through his interactions with Nishadraj and Shabari Mata. Recalling the Ram Rajya, he noted that it brings peace even in the most difficult times. After nearly 550 years of struggle, the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya is now ready. The logical reasoning of Maharaj Rambhadracharya paved the way for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Dr. Yadav mentioned that Jabalpur is the sacred land of Rishi Jabal, and hosting an international event here is noteworthy. The divine play of Narmada Ma and nature is visible here, where even black stones appear as bright and white marble. The blessings of Swami Rambhadracharya ji have been instrumental in this conference. Dr. Yadav extended his greetings and best wishes to the delegates attending from India and abroad on behalf of the Madhya Pradesh government.

Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised the World Ramayan Conference, calling it an exceptional event in the sacred land of Rishi Jabal. He highlighted how the Chief Minister, under the "double-engine government," is working towards establishing good governance and Ram Rajya in the state. Despite thousands of years of efforts to erase Indian culture, Sanatan culture has survived thanks to the saints. The conference will feature lectures from 120 scholars from around the world. The participants have also performed over 28,000 recitations of the Sundarkand. The glory of Shri Ram is spread across the globe, and Tulsidas ji, through the Ramayan, introduced the character of Lord Ram to the world in simple language, which has helped the values of Sanatan culture to flow among the masses. Today, as part of a cultural renaissance, Sanatan values are being established globally. However, anti-India forces are attempting to tarnish Sanatan and Indian culture through digital platforms. Our youth should adopt the ideals of Shri Ram in their lives and become ambassadors of the Ramayan. This event should spread from Jabalpur to other cities in the country.

Swami Rambhadracharya ji Maharaj praised Dr. Yadav for organizing the marriage of his son in a mass wedding ceremony and shared that the newlyweds are embarking on a Narmada Yatra. He further explained that "Ram" symbolizes the nation ("Ra" for Rashtra and "Ma" for Mangal), and anyone who brings prosperity to the nation is called Ram. Swami ji also suggested that the success of the World Ramayan Conference lies in declaring the Ramayan as the "Rashtra Granth" (National Scripture). He added that after the Pahalgam incident, the culprits were punished according to the principles outlined in the Ramayan, and the Ramayan teaches that without fear, there can be no true love. Swami ji concluded by stating that the slogan should be "Om Shanti, Shanti," but now it should be "Om Kranti, Kranti." He also recalled that Mahatma Gandhi's popular hymn "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, Patit Pavan Sitaram" was drawn from the Ramcharitmanas.

MLA Shri Ajay Vishnoi provided additional information about the Ramayan Conference, which began in 2004 and includes 25 sessions with 60 speakers from across the globe sharing their insights.

On this occasion, a book by Dr. Akhilesh Gumasta, written in Japanese Haiku, was also released. The event was attended by Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, Culture Minister (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Bhavsinh Lodhi, MP Shri Ashish Dubey, MLAs Shri Abhilash Pandey and Shri Ashok Rohani, along with many scholars and devotees of Lord Ram.
