Devas District Villages Name Change Announcement


On February 10, a proposal for changing the names of some villages in Devas district, based on public sentiment, was presented to the Chief Minister by BJP District President Rai Singh Sendh during his visit to Piplarawa. The Chief Minister accepted the proposal and announced the name changes of 54 villages in Devas district, directing the Revenue Minister and Collector accordingly.

District President Sendh expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and mentioned that the BJP government is committed to restoring the cultural heritage of the state. By removing the symbols of colonial rule, this small step will contribute to the grand effort of reinstating India's glorious culture.

According to the information provided by BJP Media In-charge Dharmendra Chaudhary and Deputy District Media In-charge Kamal Ahirwar, the names of several villages in the Hatpiplya, Devas, Sonkheda, Tonkkhurd, Sonkheda, Bagli, Khategaon, Satwas, Udaynagar, Kannod, and Kantaphod Tehsils have been changed. According to Sendh’s letter, the following name changes were made: Muradpur to MuraliPur, Haiderpur to Hirapur, Shamshabad to ShyamPur, AmalaTaj to Amla, SirMor to HarGanga, and more. The full list includes more than 50 villages in total.
