The second Cabinet meeting of the Delhi government was held on March 8, where the Women's Prosperity Scheme was launched, under which women will be given ₹2,500 every month. The announcement was made at the Women's Day event organized by the Delhi Pradesh Mahila Morcha at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Following this, the registration process for women to avail of the benefits of the scheme will begin. Other announcements related to the welfare of women were also made. JP Nadda stated that ₹5,100 crore has been allocated for the Women's Prosperity Scheme in the Cabinet meeting.

The central minister further mentioned that Prime Minister Modi had promised to bring the Women's Prosperity Scheme. This promise was also included in the manifesto. The government led by Rekha Gupta has allocated ₹5,100 crore for this scheme. The work for women's empowerment has begun.
