दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने 16 नवंबर को केंद्र सरकार को दवाओं की ऑनलाइन बिक्री को विनियमित करने के लिए एक नीति बनाने के लिए आठ सप्ताह का समय दिया।अदालत ने अगस्त में केंद्र और आप सरकार दोनों को बिना वैध लाइसेंस के दवाओं की ऑनलाइन बिक्री में शामिल व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने का निर्देश दिया था।

मुख्य न्यायाधीश सतीश चंद्र शर्मा (अब सुप्रीम कोर्ट में पदोन्नत) और न्यायमूर्ति संजीव नरूला की खंडपीठ ने केंद्र को उचित कदम उठाने और ऑनलाइन दवाओं की अवैध बिक्री पर अपने अंतिम रुख के बारे में अदालत को सूचित करने के लिए छह सप्ताह का समय दिया था। कार्यवाहक मुख्य न्यायाधीश मनमोहन और न्यायमूर्ति मिनी पुष्करणा की पीठ ने 16 नवंबर को कहा कि यदि तय समय के भीतर नीति नहीं बनाई गई तो विषय से जुड़े संबंधित संयुक्त सचिव को सुनवाई की अगली तारीख पर अदालत में उपस्थित रहना होगा।

The Delhi High Court on November 16 gave eight weeks to the Central government to formulate a policy to regulate online sale of medicines. The court in August had banned both the Center and the AAP government from engaging in online sale of medicines without valid licenses. Instructions were given to take action against the persons.

A division bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma (now elevated to the Supreme Court) and Justice Sanjiv Narula had given the Center six weeks to take appropriate steps and inform the court about its final stand on the illegal sale of medicines online. A bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Mini Pushkarna said on November 16 that if the policy is not made within the stipulated time, the joint secretary concerned will have to remain present in the court on the next date of hearing.
