देश में रक्षा उत्पादन पिछले सभी रिकार्ड तोड़कर पहली बार एक लाख करोड़ रुपये के आंकड़े को पार कर गया है। रक्षा मंत्री ने 31 दिसंबर को तेजपुर विश्वविद्यालय में 21वें दीक्षांत समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए रिकार्ड घरेलू रक्षा उत्पादन का ब्योरा दिया। उन्होंने बताया कि हमने पांच सकारात्मक स्वदेशी सूची जारी की हैं जिनके तहत 509 रक्षा उपकरणों को अब देश में ही बनाया जाएगा। भारत के रक्षा निर्यात का कुल मूल्य वर्ष 2016-17 में 1,521 करोड़ रुपये था जो अब दस गुना बढ़कर वर्ष 2022-23 में 15,920 करोड़ के पार हो गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारी सरकार ने हालात पर काम करने के सालों से चले आ रहे तौर-तरीके बदल दिए हैं।

Defense production in the country has crossed the Rs 1 lakh crore mark for the first time, breaking all previous records. The Defense Minister, while addressing the 21st convocation at Tezpur University on December 31, gave details of the record domestic defense production. He said that we have issued five positive indigenous lists under which 509 defense equipment will now be made in the country. The total value of India's defense exports was Rs 1,521 crore in the year 2016-17, which has now increased ten times to cross Rs 15,920 crore in the year 2022-23. He said that our government has changed the years-long method of dealing with the situation.
