Dearness allowance of MP employees will increase by 3 percent in the new year

On November 28, the government will increase the dearness allowance of more than 7 lakh employees of the state again in the new year. It has been increased from 46 to 50 percent from January 2024. At the same time, in January 2025, the Finance Department is preparing to increase the dearness allowance of state employees by 3 percent. Actually, central employees are being given dearness allowance at the rate of 53 percent from July 2024. Now in January 2025, the central government is going to increase dearness allowance and relief again. Therefore, the state government is also preparing to give a gift to its employees.

In Madhya Pradesh, whenever the central government used to increase dearness allowance and relief before 2024, the state government also used to increase the dearness allowance and relief of its employees and pensioners. Now there is a delay in this. There is still a difference of three percent in the dearness allowance given by the central and state government.

The dearness allowance of All India Service officers has been increased to 53 percent from July 2024, but the state employees and pensioners have not got its benefit. Sources say that the government can increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent in the new year, because the central government can increase it again. It is noteworthy that there is a provision of dearness allowance at the rate of 56 percent in the budget. The establishment expenditure of the departments has also been prepared accordingly, that is, there is no problem of budget provision.

First installment of arrears will be received in December

The government has increased the dearness allowance from January 2024, but it was paid from the salary of October i.e. November. The amount of difference in dearness allowance from January to September is to be paid in four equal installments. The first installment will be given in December. The amount of the second January, third February and fourth installment will come in the accounts in March 2025.
