Current Affairs and General Knowledge Facts – 13 April 2026

• The Delhi Government has released the Draft Electric Vehicle Policy 2026–30. It proposes a ban on adding new petrol and diesel vehicles to cab and delivery fleets from January 1.
• Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has handed over 4 Light Helicopter Mk-III Maritime Role Variant units to the Indian Coast Guard. These helicopters feature Shakti 1F engines, glass cockpits, and night operation capability.
• The 1200 MW Punatsangchhu-I hydropower project in Bhutan, being built with India’s assistance, has resumed after 7 years. The project was stalled since 2019 due to geological issues and is the largest India-Bhutan joint hydro project.
• In the Asian Boxing Championship held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, India won a total of 16 medals including 5 gold, 3 silver, and 8 bronze. India finished first in total medals and second in gold medals after Kazakhstan.
