CP Radhakrishnan Elected as India's 15th Vice President
On August 9, CP Radhakrishnan, the NDA candidate, won the Vice Presidential election of India. He secured a total of 452 votes, defeating the INDIA bloc candidate B. Sudarshan Reddy, who received 300 votes.
A total of 767 Members of Parliament cast their votes in the election, out of which 15 votes were declared invalid.
President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated CP Radhakrishnan on his victory.
CP Radhakrishnan will now take charge as the 15th Vice President of India.
