Court Lifts Ban on Trump's 10% Tariff for Certain Importers
Digital Desk, New Delhi: The U.S. Trade Court has dealt another blow to former President Donald Trump's tariff strategy. The court ruled that his recent 10% temporary global tariff under a 1970s trade law was incorrect. However, the injunction on these tariffs applies only to two private importers and Washington State.
The 2-1 decision by the US Court of International Trade means that until any appeal by the Trump administration is fully heard, these temporary tariffs will remain in effect for all other importers. The full investigation is expected to conclude in July.
