Shri Khedaapati Hanuman Temple located in Chhola, Bhopal is the oldest temple in the city. It has been the center of faith of Bhopal residents for centuries. With the philosophy of 'Heritage as well as development', to give a grand look to the city's oldest heritage Shri Khedaapati Hanuman Ji temple and to provide all the facilities to the devotees, the primary design plan of Shri Khedaapati Hanuman Lok has been prepared. This work is being started soon by the Public Works Department and Municipal Corporation Bhopal. The initial cost of the scheme is estimated to be around Rs. 100 crore, out of which works worth Rs. 25 crore are being started in the first phase.
The temple complex spread over about 1 acre will be beautified
It is proposed to beautify the temple complex in accordance with the ancient architectural Nagar style with white marble from Rajasthan. In this, easy corridors and other necessary arrangements will be made in the temple premises for the devotees to have darshan. Along with beautifying the temple complex situated in about 1 acre, preserving the open form of Dussehra ground, it has been proposed to construct a grand dignified corridor depicting the spectator gallery, Vihgam long stage, Ravana Dahan Sthal, infrastructure for public programs and Sundar Kand.
Corridor will increase employment opportunities
More than 100 shops of various sizes will also be constructed by the Municipal Corporation under the spectator gallery of the temple complex, which will fulfill the essential needs of the residents of the area, this will also create employment opportunities in the area. The spectator gallery and shops will be equipped with all modern facilities including parking arrangements. For smooth traffic, the construction of 15 meter wide concrete road around the campus has been started by PWD.
Corridor will be built in 21 acres
Hanuman Lok Corridor being built on the lines of Mahakal Lok and other Lok will be built in 21 acres.Arch shaped flyover will be special
A huge flyover will be built over Shri Khedaapati Hanuman Lok Corridor. The specialty of this flyover is that it will be in arch shape. The 4.80 km long flyover will be constructed from Kali Parade located near Union Carbide to Ayodhya Bypass. This flyover will be constructed at a cost of 3646.27 lakhs.
