The Madhya Pradesh government has prepared a plan to develop Chitrakoot, the land of Lord Ram's penance, into a world-class religious and tourism destination. A budget of ₹750 crores will be spent to modernize transportation services and develop Ramayan-related sites in the town.

   

The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project has been prepared. The entire town will feature the image of Lord Ram. The plan includes the creation of an 80-acre Ramayan Experience Park, featuring gigantic statues of Lord Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman. The park will also have models of sites from the Ramayan era, 5D-3D holograms, and light-sound shows.

   

Key Features of the Ramayan Experience Park:

   

       

The park will cover 80 acres and will cost ₹100 crores to develop.

       

A 151-feet high statue of Lord Ram will be built in Rajola village.

       

Other features will include holograms, light-sound shows, and models of historical Ramayan locations.
