The Government of India notified the reconstituted NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog. While there has been no change in the top positions in the apex public policy think tank, several new ministers in the newly formed government have been appointed as ex-officio members or special invitees of the Aayog. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue as the chairman of the Aayog, Suman K Beri will continue as the vice-chairman, while VK Saraswat, Ramesh Chand, VK Paul and Arvind Virmani will continue as full-time members. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the new ex-officio member. Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram and Heavy Industries Minister HD Kumaraswamy are the other new members who have been included as special invitees after being inducted into the Union Cabinet.
