The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the 12th result for 2025. Once again, girls have outperformed boys with 91.64% of girls passing compared to 85.70% of boys. The overall pass percentage for CBSE 12th this year is 88.39%.
In Vijayawada, the highest pass percentage of 99.60% was recorded, followed by Thiruvananthapuram with 99.32%. The Bhopal region recorded a pass percentage of 82.46%. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) performed excellently, securing a 99.29% pass percentage. Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) followed with 99.05%, and Tibetan Schools had 98.96%.
This year, a total of 1,29,095 students have been placed in the compartment category, representing 7.63% of all students. Last year, this number was 1,22,170.
Students who scored 33% or more in each subject are declared as passed. In case a student misses passing by just one mark, they may be given grace marks.
Savi Jain Secures Top Rank in CBSE 12th Result
Savi Jain, a student from Scottish International School, Shamli, achieved a remarkable score of 499 out of 500 in the CBSE 12th exams. She topped her school and stands among the best performers this year.
Merit Certificate and No Merit List
This year, CBSE has decided not to publish a merit list to avoid unhealthy competition among students. However, the board will issue Merit Certificates to the top 0.1% of students who score the highest marks. These certificates will be available digitally through DigiLocker.
How to Check CBSE Results 2025
Students can check their results by visiting the official CBSE websites or through DigiLocker and SMS services. To check the result, students need their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and birth date. For further reference, they can download the result as a PDF.
To access the results: Visit CBSE Results website. Click on the 12th Result link, enter your credentials, and your result will appear on the screen. Download the result PDF and check all details like name, roll number, school name, date of birth, and marks in each subject.
