Mega textile park will increase employment opportunities

The Union Textiles Ministry has launched the PM Mitra Park Scheme worth Rs 4,445 crore to set up seven Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM Mitra) Parks. This scheme is inspired by the Prime Minister's five-F vision - from farm to fiber , fiber to factory , factory to fashion and fashion to foreign. It aspires to fulfill the vision of building a ' self-reliant India ' and establish India firmly on the global textile map. This initiative of the government is expected to bring an investment of about Rs 1 lakh crore in these textile parks. At the same time , the specialty of this park to be built in one thousand acres is that integrated units will be set up here keeping in mind the entire value chain of the textile sector , where there will be training and research facilities along with plug and play facilities. In the coming days, this will create more than 20 lakh jobs directly and indirectly in the textile industry. Anyway , after agriculture in the country, the textile industry is the sector where the largest number of people are employed. This sector of the country is one of the largest producers of textiles and apparel in the world. It is believed that the growth rate of the textile industry can be up to 12 percent by 2025 .

PM Mitra-Mega Textile Park will increase employment in Madhya Pradesh

“ PM Mitra ” mega textile park will be built in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for setting up “ PM Mitra ” mega integrated textile park in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh.

It is worth noting that the eco-system for the textile and apparel sector in Madhya Pradesh is well developed. The state has availability of raw materials (such as cotton , silk and man-made fibers) and a progressive textile policy framework. The state has attracted investors in this sector from across the country. Madhya Pradesh produces cotton , it also has ginning and spinning units to convert cotton into yarn , which is converted into fabric. At present, the state also has apparel units. The state's units export cotton , yarn and textiles. Madhya Pradesh has received the highest investment of Rs 3,513 crore in the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme of the Central Government for the textile sector. PM Mitra Park Scheme will provide an excellent opportunity to fulfill the vision of ' Make in India ' and ' Make for the World ' .

Career opportunities in textile sector

If you are interested in designing , then by doing a course related to it, you can find a job for yourself in any field like designer , stylist , technologist , colorist or sales and marketing. There are many types of job opportunities in various institutions under the government , such as establishments/organizations related to silk , handloom , khadi , jute and craft. Apart from textile companies, its professionals are also given preference in jobs in hosiery and home furnishing export firms. Actually, the maximum opportunities are for textile designers. As a designer, apart from getting a marketing and merchandising job in an export house or retail house, you can also open your own fashion house/outlet. There are also good job opportunities for such creative people in e-commerce companies like Amazon. Youth pursuing higher education in textiles can also teach in colleges/institutes related to fashion designing like NIFT. In this era of online business, one can also start their own startup/boutique or fashion store in this field by gaining industry experience.

Educational Qualifications and Institutes for Career in Textile Sector

Many courses are being conducted in textile designing from degree to diploma and PG diploma. If you want to do a degree course , then the minimum eligibility for it is 12th , while PG diploma course can be done after graduation. The best thing is that students of any stream can do this course. But if you want to do BE or BTech in textile engineering/technology , then you can get admission in this course only after clearing JEE.
