France has 6.5 beds, South Korea has 11.5 beds, Italy has 3.4 beds and America has 2.8 beds. The Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Government of India will also see the availability of beds in Indian hospitals increasing manifold by 2025. Due to these various reasons, the demand for youth pursuing hospital management courses will increase.

Generally, a hospital manager is the overall in-charge of the administrative functions of the hospital. He is in-charge of various aspects of health administration and hospital administration as well as patients and health care. His responsibilities are related to various aspects such as planning and control, management of medical staff , demography and biostatistics , management and research in health care , epidemiology and community health and strategic management. The functions of a hospital manager also include recruitment and management of non-medical staff , medical accounting and finance marketing , telecommunications and security as well as management of other services.
