Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that the Bhagoria festival will now be celebrated at the state level as a major event. He described the Bhagoria festival as a celebration of joy, full of the colors of Phagun (spring), where one can immerse themselves in the beauty and fragrance of nature. He emphasized that his government will continue to keep the spirit of Bhagoria alive and it will be celebrated at the state level starting this year. The Chief Minister himself will participate in the festivities. The government will also provide assistance to develop tribal deity worship sites in smaller places. Additionally, the government will also celebrate the Koruku festival and all other tribal festivals at the state level.

On March 4, during the Tribal Devalok Mahotsav held at the Chief Minister’s residence, Dr. Yadav made these significant announcements. He acknowledged the important role of the tribal community, calling them the pride of the nation, and recognized their sacrifices during the freedom struggle. He emphasized that the tribal community never bowed before anyone. The government is committed to preserving the indigenous tribal culture, customs, rituals, and heritage. He assured the tribal community that the government would take every necessary step to protect and nurture these aspects of their culture.

At the beginning of the event, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, along with other dignitaries, performed the Bada Dev worship and lighted the ceremonial lamp to mark the commencement of the festival. He also encouraged all the tribal brothers and sisters to chant "Jai Bada Dev" and "Jai Johar." During the event, tribal artists welcomed the Chief Minister with captivating traditional dances, accompanied by rhythmic drumming and music. The Chief Minister also welcomed all the guests and visitors with a flower shower as they arrived at the event.
