Bengaluru Joins Top 12 Global Technology Hubs in 2025

On May 27, Bengaluru, known as India’s IT capital, achieved a major milestone by surpassing 1 million tech professionals engaged in technology activities. This development has earned Bengaluru a place among the top 12 global technology hubs, according to a recent report.

The report titled “Global Tech Talent Guidebook 2025” was released by real estate advisory firm CBRE. It assessed 115 markets worldwide based on availability, quality, and cost of technology professionals.

Bengaluru was featured alongside top cities such as Beijing, Boston, London, New York Metro, Paris, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, and Toronto.

CBRE noted, "Bengaluru, along with Beijing and Shanghai, forms one of the largest technology talent markets in the Asia-Pacific region, with more than 1 million tech professionals. This makes the city a critical node in the global technology and innovation landscape."

Anshuman Magazine, Chairman and CEO (India, Southeast Asia, Middle East & Africa) at CBRE, commented, "Bengaluru’s rise as a global tech hub highlights India’s strategic depth in digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and talent availability."

He added that cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur are also witnessing parallel growth, each playing a unique role in India’s resilient and diverse tech ecosystem.

According to the report, Bengaluru also leads in the number of professionals skilled in artificial intelligence (AI) in India, putting it on par with established U.S. hubs like San Francisco and New York.
