The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced cash rewards for the members of the victorious Indian Women's U-19 T20 World Cup team on February 2. The Indian team won the title for the second consecutive time by defeating South Africa by 9 wickets in the final match held in Kuala Lumpur. The board has decided to honor the players and has announced a cash reward of ₹5 crore for the team and its support staff.
The Indian team, led by captain Nicky Prasad, remained undefeated throughout the tournament and displayed exceptional skills, composure, and dominance to clinch the title. BCCI's top officials praised the players for their achievement. The BCCI said, "We congratulate India’s U-19 Women's team for successfully defending their title at the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025 in Malaysia. To honor this remarkable achievement, the BCCI has announced a cash reward of ₹5 crore for the victorious team and their support staff under the leadership of Head Coach Nooshin Al Khadeer."
The BCCI President Roger Binny appreciated the team's performance, saying, "Congratulations to our girls for retaining the U-19 Women's World Cup.
