Approval for Fourth Time-Scale Pay for 1.5 Lakh Teachers in Madhya Pradesh
On May 28, the path was cleared for more than 1.5 lakh teachers in Madhya Pradesh to receive the benefits of the fourth time-scale pay grade. The School Education Department has prepared a summary of the proposal and submitted it to the Chief Secretary's office for Cabinet approval.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has already given his consent to the proposal. Earlier, the General Administration Department, Finance Department, and the School Education Department had also approved the initiative.
Before the last state assembly elections, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced the implementation of this benefit. While it was implemented in many departments, teachers under the School Education Department were left out, citing promotional criteria as the reason.
Deputy Secretary of the School Education Department, Kamal Solanki, stated that the summary has been sent for discussion in the Cabinet meeting and that all concerned departments have agreed on the matter.
